Mr. Elkins has extensive experience litigating complex business matters, and has represented all sorts of business clientele ranging from Fortune 500 companies to regional and local businesses. Mr. Elkins’ practice is currently focused on insurance coverage on behalf of insureds. His practice has previously covered a broad range of topics, including antitrust, employment, entertainment, professional liability, securities and other areas. From 1993 through 2001, Mr. Elkins was employed as an attorney with the national law firm of Proskauer Rose LLP, in its Civil Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department in Los Angeles. From 2001 through 2003, Mr. Elkins was Of Counsel to Ben-Zvi & Beck LLP, a Los Angeles litigation and bankruptcy boutique law firm.

Highlights of Mr. Elkins’ notable professional achievements include the following:

• Obtained the dismissal, with prejudice, of a multi-million dollar government contracts
  lawsuit;

• Negotiated the favorable settlement of an employment discrimination action on behalf
  of a large retailer;

• Obtained a $2.3 million temporary protective order, followed by a $2.5 million
  attachment, against a defunct securities broker- dealer on behalf of a lender in
  litigation involving breach of contract and fraud;

• Obtained summary judgment on behalf of a law firm in a class action against multiple
  defendants involving allegations of professional liability and fraud;

• Represented a pharmaceutical company in a class action alleging securities fraud;

• Represented a major accounting firm against professional liability claims involving
  securities;

• Counseled a major television personality and a production company regarding
  defamation law in preparation for a pre- litigation press conference;

• Represented a major news organization in resolution of a claim for copyright
  infringement;

• Represented a television studio in a lawsuit alleging antitrust, RICO and usury claims.
